How to Use the Phonak UV Sanitizer Dryer
Moisture and sweat can cause damage to your hearing aids over time. The Phonak UV Sanitizer Dryer helps address this by dehumidifying and disinfecting your hearing aids and earmolds. It absorbs excess moisture, preventing potential corrosion, making it an ideal solution for active individuals or those who sweat frequently.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Set Up: Connect the power cable to the side of the device and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
- Load the Hearing Aids: Open the dryer’s lid and place your hearing aids in the centre of the drying compartment. For non-rechargeable hearing aids, be sure to remove the batteries before placing them in the dryer.
- Set the Timer: Use the timer button to select a drying time of 3, 6, or 9 hours. The indicator light will show the selected time.
- Start Drying: Close the lid gently. The dryer will begin to sterilize and disinfect your hearing aids automatically. The UV light function runs for 30 minutes as part of the process.
- End of Cycle: Once the timer reaches the set duration, the dryer will stop and the indicator light will flash. You can then open the lid and remove your hearing aids.
- Battery Tester Function: To check the battery status, place a hearing aid battery with the positive side facing up in the testing compartment. Press gently to see the battery’s status:
- Green: Full or strong battery
- Yellow: Battery is running low and needs replacement soon
- Red: Battery is exhausted and needs immediate replacement.
