Behavioural Hearing Test - CPA & VRA

Behavioural tests such as Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA) or Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) require the child to be awake and respond to the sounds via behavioural conditioning using toys and listening games. CPA is for children aged 3 to 5 years old and VRA is for younger toddlers aged 2 to 4 years old.

Objective Test for Children – ASSR / ABR

Auditory Brainstem Response(ABR) or Auditory Steady State Response(ASSR) are objective hearing tests for children who are unable to perform behavioural hearing tests. The tests can be done in 2 modes : under sedation or natural sleep.

Otoacoustic Emission(OAE) - Screening / Diagnostic

Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) is a test that determines the status of the inner ear/ cochlea (specifically hair cell function). It measures otoacoustic emissions or OAEs. These are sounds given off by the inner ear when responding to a sound. The OAE test is often part of a newborn hearing screening program and pediatric hearing assessments.

Hearing Aid Verification - Real Ear Measurement Test (REM)/ Real Ear Coupler Difference (RECD)

Are you using a hearing aid but always struggling to hear? Your hearing aid could be under-amplified despite many fine tuning done. Our objective test can accurately verify and make your fitting RIGHT. Real Ear Coupler Difference (RECD) is an alternative approach to verifying hearing aids fitted in children to prevent over-amplification for their small ear canals.

Hearing Aids Validation - Aided Audiometry & Questionnaires

Validation Questionnaire is a subjective measure that captures the hearing aid user's perceived benefit, satisfaction, and handicap reduction by the use of hearing aids. An actual aided hearing test can be performed with the patient wearing the hearing aids to compare to pre-hearing aid test results.

Hearing Aid Annual Review & Services​

Including a diagnostic hearing test annual review, hearing aids service/fine-tuning/troubleshooting. We encourage every hearing aid user to come for an annual follow-up.​

Online Remote Live Tuning

Soundlife Hearing offers remote consultation, Online Hearing Consultation on any hearing loss/ tinnitus or hearing aids queries. All the four brands of hearing aids which are Rexton, Phonak, Resound and Oticon do have remote live tuning.

Cochlear Implant(CI) Consultation & Mapping​

At Soundlife, we provide an alternative approach for those with moderately severe hearing loss who don’t benefit from hearing aids. We work with multidisciplinary disciplines such as Speech Language Pathologist and ENT doctors in recommending CI to our potential CI candidate​

During the ear examination, a tool called an otoscope is used to look at the outer ear canal and eardrum - to check on the ear wax and eardrum condition.
